Synopsis of the tribe Hippomaneae (Euphorbiaceae) in São Paulo State, Brazil

The study of the Hippomaneae tribe in the State of São Paulo is part of the project "Flora Fanerogâmica do Estado de São Paulo". The Hippomaneae tribe is represented in the São Paulo State by species from rainy and seasonal forests, savannas, and grasslands: Actinostemon Mart. ex Klotzsch (4 spp.), Gymnanthes Sw. (3 spp.), Mabea Aubl. (2 spp.), Maprounea Aubl. (1 sp.), Microstachys A. Juss. (5 spp.), Sapium Jacq. (3 spp.), Sebastiania Spreng. (2 spp.), Senefeldera Mart. (1 sp.), and Stillingia Garden ex L. (1 sp.). An identification key for the genera and species is presented, as well as illustrations of morphological details of the species. The original publication, geographic distribution, and vegetation type are referred to each species, along with the voucher specimens.
