A survey of large parmeliae species occurring in southern-central coastal areas of São Paulo State (Brazil) revealed the presence of six Parmotrema A. Mass. species with reticulate-maculate upper cortex, formely included in the genus Rimelia Hale & Fletcher. An identification key, descriptions, commentaries and illustrations are provided, based on the specimens collected.
