Genus Microspora (Chlorophyceae) in the State São Paulo, Brazil

ABSTRACT

(Genus Microspora (Chlorophyceae) in the State São Paulo, Brazil). Floristic survey of genus Microspora (Microsporaceae, Chlorophyceae) in the State São Paulo, southeast Brazil. Six species were identified based on their external and internal cell morphology, described in details, and illustrated. Microspora quadrata occurred in five municipalities, M. stagnorum in four, M. floccosa in three, and M. abbreviata and M. pachyderma in two municipalities each. Microspora lauterbornii was cited for the first time for the State São Paulo, occurring only in the Municipality Bauru.
