ABSTRACT
This study provides a taxonomic treatment of Aizoaceae Martinov in the State of Paraíba, Northeastern Brazil. Two species were recorded: Sesuvium portulacastrum (L.) L. and Trianthema portulacastrum L. An identification key, descriptions and illustrations of diagnostic characteristics, as well as data on geographic distribution, habitats, and a species occurrence map are provided. This research is important in addressing knowledge gaps in Paraíba’s flora and supports the Flora of Paraíba project.
