Support as care for existential territory: Primary Care and the street

This paper aims to show a connecting line between the following: support, primary care teams and care for the homeless population within the Brazilian Health System (SUS). From what we understand to be the purpose of each of these practices, the territories of life, we use Felix Guattari’s concept of “existential territory” to seek to affirm a certain logic in the relationship with this purpose. This logic permeates not only the supporter’s practice but also the work of primary care services. In order to demonstrate this connecting line, we analyze some issues posed in providing healthcare for the homeless population.

Support; Primary care; Homeless population; Territory; Care
