Open-access From communicative action toward a democratic society

This essay is a reflection on the fundamentals of Habermas' communicative ethics, defending the ethics of communication as the underlying condition for the construction of a democratic society of free individuals, based on the distinction between two fields of discourse development: the theoretical and the practical.
