A new species of Drosophila annulimana group (Diptera, Drosophilidae) and a new record in the Pichincha and Napo provinces, Ecuador

A new species of Drosophila was found at the Intillacta cloud forest, Pichincha province, Ecuador, and the Cordillera de los Guacamayos, Napo province, Ecuador. It is proposed that this new species Drosophila intillacta sp. nov belongs to the Drosophila annulimana group, based on male genitalia morphology. Also, the first report of Drosophila tarsata Schiner, 1868 collected in the Cordillera de los Guacamayos, Ecuador, is recorded.
