The genus Nersia Stål, 1862 comprises currently 11 species, of which Nersia haedina Stål, 1862 and Nersia sertata (Jacobi, 1904) are found in Rio Grande do Sul. Both species are characterized and illustrated. Male and female genital characters are described for the first time. New records to Neotropical Region are added.
