METHODS: Data was collected at a training center for people with fear of driving. The participants filled a dichotomic form and were interviewed by a psychologist. In both phases, we considered self-report answers. RESULTS: Most of the sample are women (89,2%), aged between 21 e 40 years old (59%). Understanding which reasons prevented the development of these people while drivers is hard, but necessity seems to be the major factor in seeking training. Fear of drive seems to be associated to lack of practice. Concerns about causing an accident, making errors and lose the control of the situation are the main cognitive symptoms of this fear. CONCLUSION: Many founds of this study are compatible with the world literature about fear of drive. However, some limitations were found. More studies are necessary to evaluate fear of driving.
