This paper proposes predictive models of supply and demand for hydrated bioethanol for the whole of Brazil to test the fleet dedicated to bioethanol as the main explanatory variable and analyzes the errors using the cointegration technique to avoid the presence of spurious regressions in modeling. We verified that the models developed were suitable for long-term forecasts for Brazil but only in the short term for the states.
