The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate how Physics played a vital role in the development of the Stoic Philosophy System and allowed its use in ancient times as a basic element of the whole Portico's thought. This paper also intends to infer the significance of that role played by Stoic Physics, analyzing some of its main themes - the Ontology of the bodies, used, for instance, as an information source; and the notions of lógos, god and general mixture. Finally, the article provides a brief explanation of the conflagration theory.
