ON THE LINE OF DISCOURSE: ANALYSIS OF THE DISCOURSE ABOUT WORK IN ARTICLES FROM THE NEWSPAPER CORREIO RIOGRANDENSE

Abstract

The present study, involving articles from the newspaper Correio Riograndense, adopts a linguistic approach which combines theoretical aspects from French Discourse Analysis and those from current utterance theories, situating the analysis at the language, subject and history axis. In this sense, the discourse about work is viewed as an identity mark of Brazilian workers of Italian descent. The methodology involves an analysis that operates on the line of discourse through the description of the linguistic signs present in the linguistic sequence, the intradiscourse, interfacing with the interdiscourse, the already said, which builds History and allows the identification and the communication among the members of a community.
