Abstract
This essay adresses recent moments of contemporary art in its relationship with human rights and the memory rescue of painful facts. Selected works from Horst Hoheisel, Andreas Knitz, Esther Shalev-Gertz, Marcelo Brodsky, and Fulvia Molina are analyzed, as well certain Paris memorials.
