Globalization and international law: from good neighbourhood to the common heritage of humanity

In the presence of the global challenges confronting humanity, International Law is traversed by a process of transformation of some of its classic postulates. After summing up the main lines of this change, the greatest symbol of which is the international regime of the common heritage of humanity, this article questions the adequacy of current accentuations of the institutional dimension in this process to the structure of contemporary international society.
