The Samusocial of Paris is a non-governmental organization, partly funded by the state. It undertakes a mission of outreach work with homeless people, thought as "social emergency". Teams, composed of a social worker, a nurse and a driver, patrol night and day all over the capital. This paper proposes a phenomenological ethnography of some the embodied experiences (sensitive, affective and moral), lived in the encounters between the professionals of the SSP teams and the homeless. It tries to understand what kind of practical inferences and interpretative procedures are accomplished in these specifical interactions.
