The A. describes three new samples of cultures of acid-fast bacilli iso¬lated from wild mosquitos experimentally fed on active cases of leprosy, in the South of the State of Minas Gerais, about 1 mile dintant from Santa Fé Leper Colony. All those cultures are chromogenic and germinate quite well on Loewenstein medium and in glycerinated broth, forming thin veil on the surface of this medium, without clouding it. Out of 100 slides smeared with intestinal contents from wild mosquitos fed on lepers, 22 were positive for acid-fast bacilli similar to those of Hansen, and out of 100 slides smeared with domicile mosquitos, capturated in leper dormitories, 20 were also positive. Fifty smears from mosquitos capturated on worse were negative for typical acid-fast bacilli.
