Open-access INTERFERENCE AND CONCILIATION BETWEEN PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL SPHERES IN THE TEACHING CAREER IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Abstract

This essay reflects on the close relationship between the personal and professional lives of Physical Education teachers, considering the influences between the personal and professional spheres. It discusses the tensions arising from the work environment and the personal and family issues that interfere with the teaching career. From the textual search in national and international journals, two aspects were verified, both treating the professions in a broad sense, one based on the balance between the spheres and the other on the conflict. The lack of studies on the subject indicates the need and importance of considering both positive and negative factors, as well as the influences on the careers of Physical Education teachers. In this context, further investigations are essential, especially to deepen the relationship between work and personal life of Physical Education teachers.
