Abstract
Burnout syndrome is one of the most common illnesses among professionals who deal directly with people, such as teachers. Teachers experiencing burnout may have a negative perception of their self-efficacy, which can affect students' motivation for Physical Education. This essay aims to discuss the relationship between Physical Education teachers' burnout, their self-efficacy, and students' motivation for Physical Education. The lack of studies connecting these three themes justifies the importance of this work. The analysis of variables suggests that the mental health status of the teacher may be directly related to their self-efficacy and may impact students' motivation for the subject within the school context.
