Abstract
The study identified essential competencies for managing associative clubs, using a quantitative and descriptive approach. Online questionnaires were applied to 17 managers of socio-sports clubs in São Paulo, affiliated with the Brazilian Clubs Committee. Results highlighted leadership, communication, and conflict management as core competencies, alongside the need for continuous training in governance and innovation. Main challenges included conflict mediation, team motivation, and financial management. It was concluded that training programs should integrate technical and behavioral competencies with innovative and sustainable practices.
