ABSTRACT
These are the major transformations that have been happening within the religious field, inseparable from deep social changes: (a) the decline of catholic hegemony and the expansion of evangelical Pentecostalism; (b) the growing number of those who don’t have a religion, though interested in spirituality; (c) the valorization of individuality and spiritual nomadism; (d) the articulation of Theology of Prosperity and economic development, now challenged by the crisis.
