Open-access Financialization of Care: A Glance at the French Case and Implications for Brazil

    ABSTRACT

    Financialization has always been absent from the public debate from the perspective of the state sector.This article discusses the French Senate report Financiarisation del’offre de soins:uneopa sur la santé?, from 2024, which broke this silence. Through document analysis, the case study traced French legislators’ interpretation of the phenomenon and its possible impacts on the implementation of a National Care Policy in Brazil.
