Analysis of the unpublished Memórias de Brazilia Lacerda, regarding her childhood until her marriage in 1906; the text seeks to understand the relationship between historical circumstances (plantation, the boom of coffee crops, signs of class, slavery, prejudice) and private life (circumstances of gender, education, aspirations and female responsibilities); brief commentary on autobiography criticism.
