A lógica da corrupção: um olhar psicanalítico

Once one does unveil the logic of corruption, phenomena that did not seem to be part of this field turn out to be, while others, which we initially considered as part of this field, are not, or are so only to the common sense. The author concludes that what is corrupted is not the individual, whom can only be bribed, but the symbolic system that he represents, and the consequence is semantic emptiness and symbolic fracture. The process of corruption begins when the person who represents the institution embodies at the same time two logics, one referring to public affairs, and the other to personal ones. Moral integrity, on the other hand, can be defined as the refusal to hold this contradiction. The subject has to renounce, either to one or the other.

Corruption; psychoanalysis; symbolic fracture; moral integrity
