ABSTRACT
This paper analyzes the evolution of health expenditures using own revenues by Brazilian municipalities after the promulgation of Constitutional Amendment 29/2000, in order to verify if they grew homogeneously in different regions of the country and if regional inequalities decreased, maintained or increased with time. It uses Moran’s Global and Local Index to look for patterns of spatial correlation and clusters formation.
