ABSTRACT
This essay seeks to analyze Tiago Ferro’s novel O pai da menina morta (2018), considering how the Covid-19 pandemic brought out the relations between nature, tragedy and capitalism, changing the meaning of the book. It also seeks to rethink the nexus between life, fiction and social process.
