This article studies the mass media as a privileged locus for representation of political actors and the political system. It analyses the role of the Eldorado Radio, which created in 1999 the "Cara de Pau Prize", a competition that had as purpose the election of the most negative political personalities. This study intended to understand the dynamics of this Radio as a stimulus for the creation of negative political representations.
