This article discusses the need for conversations in the area of organizational studies and argues that articles written and published long time ago that appear to be have been forgotten can have a message important to be held and be an example of fruitful conversations as they encounter unsuspected convergences among several research areas. The article also discusses the power apparatus of the mainstreams in organizational studies and the need for conversations to open the academia to alternative theories to such streams. Finally, it introduces some practical proposals for the betterment of quality in organizational studies following a line of works that have already treated the subject.
