The article tries to argue that the metaphor of the "organizational suffering" can be a resource to discuss the democratic management and the living together in complex organizations. A brief historical reconstruction of the organicist vision in sociological studies is used to distinguish between a functionalist and a dialectical organicism. The organizations are then analyzed in interaction with the social ambient. After to present the contemporaneous societies as informational societies, submitted to a continual technological progress and to an accelerate change, the article sustain that the "suffering" reflects an organizational scenario in which is difficult to compose differences and unifying.
