Abstract
The academic production at Brazilian Universities that links Wilhelm Reich to different areas, producing new knowledge about and from his ideas, has grown in the last years, demonstrating that, in addition to clinical practice, it is possible to identify other possibilities of his ideas by articulating them with Education. In order to identify master’s degree dissertations and doctorate theses that have explored his ideas articulating them to the educational area, this theoretical and bibliographic research found as result that, among a hundred of academic productions produced between 1979 and 2012 on this subject, 39 were related to the educational area, being 29 master’s degree dissertations and 10 doctorate theses. Analyzed by the categories: “Reichian ideas for education”, “Reichian ideas and education of educators” , “Reich’s ideas in daily school life” , “Reichian ideas and sex education” and “Application of Reichian ideas in different areas of Education”, the results of this research revealed that this author is one of the references used to think about contemporary educational issues in the Brazilian academic field, demonstrating how Reich’s ideas can contribute for the formation and performance of educators.
