In order to address the terminal disease in pediatric patients, this article intends to promote a reflection on how the sick child deals with death, as well as the family and the health professionals. The Freudian psychoanalysis theory has been used as the foundation to understand this process. Sensibility, humility and comprehension of our own limitations while human beings and professionals are the most natural way to share with the patient his death experience.
