Participatory action research and the production of new analysis

On the basis of a historical review of participative research along its different moments of constitution, and assuming some proposals related to transformation in the production of knowledge, this paper aims to discuss the theoretical and methodological presumptions of intervention-research. Intervention-research can be seen as a means of achieving trans-formation in what concerns academic formation of professionals in Psychology as well as the practices in institutions, offering the possibility of new analysis grounded on macro and micropolitics.
