The singing of the damned: a quantitative analysis of the dissemination of the thought of Gilles Deleuze in the Brazilian educational research (1990-2010)

Abstract

This article presents an overview of the dissemination of the ideas of Gilles Deleuze in the Brazilian educational research, considering the interval between 1990 and 2010. It is a quantitative study, that encompasses articles from the education field that work with the concepts developed by Deleuze, sometimes in a partnership with Felix Guattari. The selected articles were published in 44 journals of the field belonging to the A1 and A2 levels of the Qualis 2013 table. This research is relevant if we observe how a number of prominent authors working with the thoughts of difference view this theoretical framework as frequently marginalized in relation to other areas of the academic research in education. Can this marginalizing be verified, considering the figures presented here? Is there a marginalized corner in the academic field, which corroborates these researches, or, on the contrary, is this yet another typical corner of those close to the deleuzian conceptual apparatus?
