The text presents one of the fragments studied in the thesis "Dance - Physical Education: (in)tense relations". In this fragment, we analyze the comprehension presented by the pedagogical projects in graduate courses in dancing at Unicamp and UFBA, about dance as an artistic manifestation and its representation in the Brazilian popular culture.
