Curriculum and school knowledge: ambiguities, doubts and conflicts

Among the ones that investigate school knowledge build up, under the perspective of the Curriculum Critical Sociology, this study is presented as a qualitative research process and product performed in literature and in the field, through documents and interviews with two teachers of four different curricular subject matters, who belonged to schools from the Municipal Schools System in Recife. In this process we observed the existence of more ambiguities, doubts and conflicts than certainties in school knowledge build up, so much in subjects considered secondary, such as Physical Education and Arts, as in subjects of larger prestige, such as Portuguese and Mathematics.
