This paper aims to make an analysis about the sports of high performance from the theoretical references of Psychoanalysis and Utopian Studies, assuming that the logic of sports of high performance reverberates the contemporary logics of social bond. The never-ending requirement of "high performance" is one characteristic of our time that is strongly present in the speech of sports of high performance and are often a source of suffering for the subjects, athletes or not. Nevertheless, sports still have much to contribute to our society, and the bet of this reflection is on what was called sports utopia, which advocates the emphasis on overcoming limits more than in the final result necessarily in the highest podium placing
