Abstract
The society still structured in patriarchal ways reinforces a worrying reflection on the condition of violence against women. This work aims to help transform the view on the differences between men and women, through the report of the experience of a research project carried out in the public schools of the city of Catalão-GO, through the Department of Psychology of UFG-RC. The methodology was based on a qualitative approach that used a documentary research to collect data, extracted from Field Diaries made from the discussion groups on important concepts such as gender, roles and gender violence during the years of 2013 and 2014. Thinking the construction of the individual from the identity theory of Antônio da Costa Ciampa, from a perspective of emancipation, among the main results of this work is to help building a culture of non-violence, of new values.
