A case of borderline personality disorder treated within short-term dynamic psychotherapy

This paper presents a case of borderline personality disorder treated within Short-term Dynamic Psychotherapy at the Applied Psychology Center of the UNESP-Bauru/SP. The psychotherapy focused the patient's depressive characteristics aiming to help him to elaborate his losses. This case, considered a successful one, confirms the hypothesis that borderline patients can also benefit from Short-term Dynamic Psychotherapy, once realistic aims are set.
