Construction and validation of graphic interface reactions scale for distance learning courses

This article presents the construction and statistical validation process of the Graphic Interface Reactions Scale, applied to a sample of 1.892 students of a target course, offered by SEBRAE in Brazil. The scale aims to investigate the students' opinion about the graphic interface usability of the course. Data were collected at the end of the course by means of a questionnaire hosted in an internet site. Statistical analysis of the principal (PC), factorial (PAF) and internal consistency (Alpha Coefficient) components was performed. The scale presents a unifactorial structure, with 15 items, explaining 57,46% of the total variance, and Alpha coefficient of 0,95. Results indicate a statistically valid and reliable scale. Further research in different education contexts is suggested.
