Sientific production of Psico-USF journal from 1996 to 2006

The present study investigated the scientific production of the Psico-USF journal, between the years of 1996 and 2006. 11 volumes were used, in which 188 articles were analyzed based in the following criteria: amount, average of volumes and articles published per year, type of paper, region of origin, nature of authorship, authors' gender, evaluation themes, words of the title, sample and education stage. The data evidenced an increase of publications in the last six years, being 2006 the year with larger number of articles. The research report was the most used form and southeast, region had published more in that period. There was still the predominance of multiple and feminine authorship. As to thematic, were observed the predominance of works turned to the foundations and measures in psychology. It is considered that the study drew a new picture of the produced knowledge, identifying lacks that can be researched hereafter.
