Neste artigo discute-se o lugar ocupado pela fantasia no processo de produção do conhecimento. A partir do referencial fornecido por autores ligados à Escola de Frankfurt, procurou-se demonstrar que a fantasia possui uma função crítica, negada pela concepção positivista de ciência, que pode contribuir para o questionamento da maneira pela qual a realidade se encontra constituída.

The purpose of this article is to discuss the role played by imagination in the process of knowledge production. Using as theoretical support the ideas of some philosophers of the Frankfurt School, the text attempts to demonstrate that imagination has a critical function, denied by positivism, which could contribute for the questioning of the organization of society.

A relação entre a arte e a loucura é considerada do ponto de vista da exposição em museus de arte de obras que foram produzidas nos asilos. Nessa transição, são analisadas a situação historicamente determinada da loucura no campo da visualidade e as implicações culturais, psicológicas e estéticas dessa situação, sobretudo após o advento da noção de art brut. Finalmente, é também considerado o impacto da art brut, como prática dos excluídos sociais, sobre o próprio criador marginal e sobre o olhar do espectador.

The relation between art and madness is considered from the point of view of works of art produced in asylums and exhibited in art museums. In this transition, the historically situation of madness is analyzed concerning visual order and it’s cultural, psychological and aesthetic implications in art history, specially after the emergence of the notion of art brut. Finally, it’s also considered the impact of art brut on the outsider artist and on the spectator’s perception.

Longe de confinar-se no inefável, a psicanálise, depois de Lacan e graças a ele, não hesita em se explicar sobre a lógica de seu discurso: ela demonstra que, mesmo se distinguindo da ciência, se esforça para alcançar um rigor digno desta última. Isso deriva do fato de que ela traz a marca do sujeito que a enuncia. A ironia é um dos índices do encontro do sujeito com o ponto pelo qual se demonstra que não existe saber que reduza o sujeito a um de seus enunciados.

Far from being attained to the indescribable, the phychoanalysis, after and thanks to Lacan, do not hesitate in explaining itself based upon the logic of its discourse: it demonstrates that even being so distinctive from science, it makes an effort to be as rigorous as this one. This derives from the fact that it brings upon itself the trace of its subject. Irony is one of the indicators of the subject’s meeting with knowing that there isn’t knowledge that reduces the subject to one of its statements.

A primeira parte deste artigo propõe uma comparação geral entre as categorias fenomonológicas universais de Peirce, primeiridade, secundidade e terceiridade, de um lado, e os três registros lacanianos, também chamados de categorias conceituais da realidade humana, as categorias do imaginário, real e simbólico, de outro lado. A segunda parte avança alguns passos na análise comparativa entre Peirce e Lacan, ao discutir que a lógica da terceira categoria, que é a lógica do signo, pode funcionar como um mapa de orientação para o entendimento das interações complexas que os três registros, imaginário, real e simbólico, mantêm entre si.

The first part of this paper proposes a general comparison between Peirce’s three universal phenomenological categories of firstness, secondness, and thirdness on one hand and Lacan’s three registers, also called the conceptual categories of human reality, the categories of the imaginary, the real, and the symbolic on the other hand. The second part develops the comparative analysis between Peirce and Lacan even further, showing that the logic of the third category, which is the logic of the sign, can function as a guiding map towards the understanding of the complex interactions that the three registers, the imaginary, the real, and the simbolic, have with each other.

Trata-se de mostrar a mudança conceitual efetuada por Lacan a partir da década de 70. Desde 50 a relação de linguagem enfatizava a importância da cadeia de significantes, primeira novidade do seu ensino, possibilitando a escuta analítica de maneira totalmente diferente do que se fazia até então. Uma nova dimensão da linguagem, um Discurso sem Palavras, trouxe a importância do saber como articulação formal, diferentemente da relação de conhecimento e principalmente a indicação do Gozo como interesse maior da experiência analítica, agora voltada para as relações da linguagem com o corpo.

It refers to the demostration of the conceptual change promoted by Lacan from the 70’s on. Since 1950, the language relation emphasized the importance of the significants chain, his first break through, enabling the analytical hearing in a totally different way than what had been done before. A new dimension of language, "A Discourse Without Words", has brought the importance of knowledge as a formal articulation, differing from the knowledge relation and mainly the indication of Delight as a major interest of the analytical experience, now faced to the relations of language and body.

O artigo trata da noção das origens da Psicanálise não como uma invenção sui generis de Freud, mas antes como uma apropriação da idéia interpretativa, cuja essência, a interpretação, ele transformou em método. Sob este ângulo evidencia-se claramente que a disciplina psicanalítica não se restringe a uma prática terapêutica, ainda que o momento histórico que engendrou seu aparecimento a tenha convocado a tratar da crise, o absurdo que se instalara no âmago da sociedade urbana do início do século, a princípio na forma das neuroses.

The article considers the notion of the origins of Psychoanalysis not as something that Freud actually invented, but as an appropriation of the interpretative idea, whose essence, the interpretation, he turned into a method. From this standpoint, it becomes obvious that Psychoanalysis as a discipline is not limited to a psychotherapeutic technique. The historic moment that required its appearance summoned it to heal the crisis, the absurdity, that had set up in the bosom of the urban society of the beginning of the century, crisis that at first presented itself in the shape of the neuroses.

O objetivo deste artigo é introduzir os primeiros contrapontos da filosofia de Merleau-Ponty com a psicanálise freudiana, ao lado da apresentação da "Crítica dos fundamentos da psicologia" (G. Politzer). Politzer critica o postulado freudiano da divisão psíquica e o postulado da semântica da linguagem convencional na determinação de todo sentido vivido. Merleau-Ponty faz uso dessas críticas para uma teoria da expressão e da existência humanas.

The aim of this article is to introduce the first contrasting ideas of Merleau-Ponty’s Philosophy and the Freudian psychoanalysis, along with the presentation of the "Critics of psychology fundaments" (G. Politzer). Politzer criticizes the Freudian postulation of psychic division, and the postulation of the semantic of conventional language in the determination of the whole living sense. Merleau-Ponty uses these critics for a theory of human expression and existence.

O artigo descreve as barreiras à aplicação efetiva de uma legislação avançada, como o Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente, quanto às suas disposições sobre a família, a escola e o trabalho. Defende, ainda, maior participação dos cursos universitários no conhecimento e respeito à lei, favorecendo sua aplicação no cotidiano profissional.

The article describes the effective application of an advanced legislation, as the Child and Adolescent Statute, considering the family, school and work issues. It also defends a broader involvement of the university courses with the statute acquaintance and enforcement, favoring its aplication on the professional routine.

A educação tem assumido historicamente importância estratégica para o Estado como legitimadora de uma sociedade cada vez mais excludente. Isso torna imprescindível, para psicólogos escolares, a compreensão dos processos ideológicos que acompanham as reformulações político-econômicas através das quais o capitalismo enfrenta suas crises. Este artigo descreve em sua primeira parte algumas das principais transformações educacionais que estamos presenciando e quais seriam suas motivações, tais como declaradas pelo discurso oficial governista. Na segunda, aponta para as relações entre essas transformações educacionais e as políticas neoliberais, criticando seus temas através do conceito materialista histórico de ideologia.

Education has historically assumed strategic importance to the State as the instrument to legitimate an excludent society. The understanding of the ideologic processes that go together with the political and economical changes through which capitalism deals with its crisis, becomes invaluable for school phychologists. In the first part this article describes some of the main educacional changes that we have witnessed and the motivations declared by govenment officials. In the second part, the article deals with the relations between the educational changes and neoliberal policies, criticizing some of its premises through the historic materialism concept of ideology.

Os mecanismos sociais e as práticas educativas produtoras das dificuldades escolares enfrentadas por crianças pobres no Brasil têm sido minuciosamente estudados nas últimas décadas. A partir de observações de cenas escolares e de entrevistas com professores notamos um crescente processo de "coisificação" do professor e do aluno. Quando estes estão destituídos do que lhes é mais pessoal e significativo como seu estilo, ritmo e valores, participam do ritual educativo de forma mecânica, repetitiva e submissa. Refletimos sobre o papel do psicólogo enquanto profissional que pode resgatar, reconhecer e valorizar o indivíduo humano, sua necessidade de se comunicar (ensinar e aprender) e seu potencial para isso, participando da recriação da cultura escolar de forma inovadora e singular.

The social mechanisms and the educational practices that lead to school failure have been thoroughly studied in the last decades. Observing schools and interviewing teachers we realized a growing "thing-ification" of the teacher and the student. When they are deprived from what is more personal and meaningful as their style, rythm and values, they take part in the educative process in a mechanical, repetitive and submissive way. We reflect upon the phychologist role as a professional who can rescue, recognize and valorize the individual, his/her communication needes (teach and learn) and his/her potential to it, being part of the re-creation of the school culture in a creative and singular way.

O artigo relata pesquisa que quer compreender como a constituição subjetiva de crianças e adolescentes que vivem na rua, os chamados meninos de rua, articula-se ao laço social, a partir da especificidade da escuta psicanalítica de crianças e adolescentes. Um processo de desqualificação e desvalorização social da família destes jovens, propicia a ruptura destes com a família e escola, levando-os para a rua. Tal ruptura faz surgir o discurso social, que substitui o discurso dos pais, de onde poderiam extrair os significantes de sua filiação e sexuação, e destitui estes meninos do lugar de crianças e adolescentes, justifica o abandono, o descaso e o medo, e oferece-lhes como única possibilidade de nomeação a identidade de delinqüente.

The article reports a research on how the subjective constitution of children and adolescents who live on the streets, known as street kids, relate to the social ties, based on the specific psychoanalical hearing of children and adolescents. A process of social disqualification and depreciation of these children’s families, conducts them to break up with their families and schools, leading them to the streets. This rupture brings the social address about, which substitutes the parents address, from which they could take the meaning of their filiation and sexuality. This rupture also deprives them of the condition of being children and adolescents, justifying the abandonment, the neglect and the fear and offering them the only possibility of an identity as a delinquent.

Esse artigo discute a construção de cooperativas a partir da concepção de organização como processo social dinamizado por negociações. Para tanto, consideramos o conflito e a harmonia de interesses nucleares para a compreensão desse processo, os quais explicam movimentos de cooperação e de confrontação.

Terão os docentes-pesquisadores universitários uma representação social (RS) da religião e das relações entre religião e ciência? Foram entrevistados cientistas avançados das áreas de ciências exatas, biológicas e humanas, da Universidade de São Paulo, Brasil, acerca das relações que estabelecem, ou não, entre ciência e religião. Os resultados mostraram inexistência de conflito consciente entre ciência e religião; pouca ou nenhuma intersecção entre ambas; rejeição tanto do caráter dogmático do cristianismo como das pretensões ilimitadas da ciência; respeito pelas religiões históricas e abertura para novas formas de religiosidade. Os resultados são discutidos com o conceito de RS, de Moscovici.

Do university faculty have a social representation (SR) of religion and of the relationship between science and religion? 26 advanced scientists from the exact, biological and human sciences, of University of São Paulo, Brazil, were interviewed about the relationships they establish, or fail to establish, between science and religion. The results showed no conscious conflict between science and religion; litt1e or no intersection between science and religion; rejection of the dogmatic character of Christianity and of the unlimited claims of science; respect toward historical religions, and openness to other forms of religiosity. The results are discussed through Moscovici’s concept of the social representation.
