As the history of Ethnology in Brazil is yet to be writen, I suggest the importance of Revista de Antropologia for such a history. Ethnological studies were dominant in the first twenty years of this journal and provides an excellent material for such a history: some clues for this endeavor are presented here. I remember also that the jubilee of Revista de Antropologia coincides with what would be the 90th anniversary of his creator, Egon Schaden.
