Sistemas de programação da produção com capacidade finita: uma decisão estratégica?

This paper examines the impad of the increasingly growing use of the so called "finite capacity scheduling systems" on companies competitiveness. With this aim, the artiele defines relevant concepts regarding finite scheduling systems and discusses the implications of adoptinglimplementing them for the adopter's manufaduring strategy. The authors also propose a taxonomy for finite scheduling systems and survey the current finite scheduling software applications available in Brazil.
