The main purpose of this paper is to test a prediction model of the effects of educational actions under work performance indicators. To reach this objective an evaluation of a graduate program in a Brazilian public organization was conducted. The participants were 121 egressors of this program who answered psychometric valid questionnaires. The path analysis results show that post-training variables (e.g. application strategies and transfer of training support) are relevant predictors of work behavior indicators (e.g. transfer, retention and training impact) and that work behavior indicators are predictors of occupational performance variables. These results produce empirical evidence that education in an organizational setting increases the work performance.
