Pierre Bourdieu: the theory in practice

This article presents a program for applying Pierre Bourdieu's investigation methods to human and social sciences research. It begins by presenting their epistemological origins and practices, and then discusses the concept system adopted by Bourdieu and develops a generic research guide based on his investigations. It concludes by summarizing the critique of his concepts and by making a synthetic presentation of his legacy.
