This study analyzed the influence of exchange rate adopted by Brazil and of the dollar over the prices of the Brazilian Natural Rubber in Brazilian currency, from January 2003 to December 2009. Thus, the shift-share method was used. By considering the results achieved in this study, it was found that changes in prices of natural rubber in Brazilian currency were more influenced by the dollar variations than variations in exchange rate, showing the importance of prices in Malasya over the performance of natural rubber prices in Brazil.
