ABSTRACT - (Taxonomic survey of Chlorophyta (Volvocales, Chlorococcales, Zygnematales) from Pampulha Reservoir, MG). A taxonomic survey of planktonic Chlorophyta (Volvocales, Chlorococcales, Zygnematales) was performed in the Pampulha Reservoir (Minas Gerais, Brazil). Samples were collected monthly, from May 1992 to August 1994. Thirty-six species were identified belong to the orders Chlorococcales, Volvocales and Zygnematales. Chlorococcales was represented by the largest number of species (27 species in nine families), followed by Zygnematales (eight species in one family) and by Volvocales, with a single species. Most of the described species (70%) are a first citation for Minas Gerais state.
