ABSTRACT
This is a scoping review on the integration of Public Health (PH) in Physical Education Teaching (PET) undergraduate programs in Brazil, from 2009 to 2024. Using guidelines from the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI), studies that analyzed PET curricula were considered, aiming to identify the presence and approach of PH. The results reveal an incipient and fragmented integration, with a predominance of a biomedical and technical approach. Courses focused on PH, when offered, are usually electives. It concludes that PET curricula must be rethought, integrating the humanities and PH more effectively to promote a broader understanding of health in Basic Education.
