Open-access Virtual teacher work in professional training of physical education: teacher knowledge and corporal practices

Abstract

The objective of this research was to understand how the teaching knowledge and the corporal practices were treated pedagogically in a course of Degree in Physical Education, distance education. It is a qualitative-descriptive research that used documentary analysis and semi-structured interviews with teachers. The data were submitted to content analysis by thematic categories: polydocence, teacher knowledge and corporal practices. The conclusions indicated that polydocence was inherent in virtual teaching work; the pedagogical knowledge related to technologies and the media has been incorporated into the teaching knowledge; and the corporal practices, in the distance education, sought to articulate the technical knowledge with the theoretical-scientific ones.
