‘‘Body education" and scientific field: of the fluidity of the knowledge to the symbolic contests

Abstract

The paper aimed to identify the authors who use the term "body education" in the Brazilian scientific field and the areas of knowledge where they are inserted to understand the "rules of the game" and the competitive contests around the thematic. Through a documental research, 46 papers were analysed. It was noted that three of four researchers most representative in the number of papers receive "Production in Research" furtherance by CNPq; the main areas of investigation were Education and Physical Education; and the majority of the authors possesses graduation in Physical Education, indicating that the debates on the thematic mainly come from this area and the possibility of migration of the authors with permanence of "scientific authority" for other areas also.
