ABSTRACT
The study aimed to describe Physical Education (PE) activities in Psychosocial Care Centers (CAPS) in Pelotas/RS and the professionals’ perceptions regarding their roles and integration. This qualitative study used data from semi-structured interviews analyzed through content analysis. The intentional sample included three PE professionals from different CAPS, acting within both the PE core and the health field. Main activities included group therapeutic workshops, patient intake, medical record updates, and team meetings. Challenges reported involved infrastructure, high demand, and staff shortages, highlighting the importance of supporting the public health system (SUS) and PE's role within it.
